Repulse Bay
I don't think I will ever forget coming through the tunnel that runs much of the length of Hong Kong Island and being greeted with the view of the sea. The altitude of the bus added to the drama of the scene --- before me lay an expanse of blue dotted with luscious green islands of varying sizes every way I looked. Once I got to the beach, I looked around the Guan Yin Temple and some of the nearby beach areas before settling down to read Tristram Shandy which an Oxford friend had given me.
