Heptonstall - January 2013
I spent the winter holiday of 2012 - 3 reading as much Sylvia Plath as possible. At the start of the new year, my friend and I decided to pay Hebden Bridge, and Heptonstall a visit. It is in Heptonstall, a small village on top of a hill, where Plath is buried. The cold, gloomy fog added to the atmosphere, especially when we walked past the old church in Heptonstall which had been struck by lightning. It stood pitch black against the clouds.
