Füssen, Hohenschwangau and Neuschwanstein
Last full day in Germany and I decided to head off to the southern edge of Germany. I stopped off at Füssen first, admiring one of the bluest rivers---River Lech---I've ever seen. Next, it was a short bus ride to Hohenschwangau where the world-famous castles---Hohenschwangau and Neuschwanstein---are located. The nature there was just as spectacular, with Alpsee in plain view, and also the Pöllatschlucht behind Neuschwanstein. Admittedly, I wasn't planning to walk along a mountain path that day---it had been raining, and my shoes were definitely not suited for it---but thankfully, I managed.
